Reconstruction and upgrade of the existing 220/110 kV Kraljevo 3 Substation

The project for the reconstruction and upgrade of the existing 220/110 kV Kraljevo 3 Substation to the 400/220 kV Kraljevo 3 Substation was carried out in 2021-2022 in Ratina, City of Kraljevo, under investor Elektromreža Srbije ad Beograd. It included performance of the electrical-assembling works, equipment procurement and installation, testing and commissioning of the 400/220 kV Substation facility.

Reconstruction and upgrade of the existing 220/110kV Kraljevo 3 Substation to the 400/220 kV Kraljevo 3 Substation, Ratina, Kraljevo, includes the construction of a new 400 kV facility at the Kraljevo 3 Substation and installation of the 400/220 kV energy transformer.

Construction works on the reconstruction and upgrade of the Kraljevo 3 Substation include the construction of new portals and device carriers within the 400 kV Switchgear facility, then construction of the new device carriers with foundations within the 220 kV Switchgear facility, foundation works and construction of the transformer tank for two transformers with oil drainage, oil pit and a pump station.

Three new relay enclosures have been built within the 400 kV Switchgear and one within the 200 kV Switchgear, a control building has been adapted, new roads have been built in the 400 kV Switchgear and in a section of the 200 kV Switchgear, a new cableway has been built as well as the cable ducting within the 400kV Switchgear.

By means of reconstruction and upgrade of the existing 220/110kV Kraljevo 3 Substation to the 400/220 kV Kraljevo 3 Substation a stable functioning of the Bajina Bašta Reversible Hydro Power Plant has been enabled as well as the functioning of Bistrica and Đerdap Reversible Hydro Power Plants, construction of which is planned in the future.
